This year at deer camp one of my friends invited his cousins from out of state to join us at the camp. This created a bit of a problem as the small cabin we all pitched in to buy many years ago only has enough room to hold our original six hunters. We decided the "green horns" would have to prove their salt by camping outdoors in a cold weather tent. Between the six of us we had the cold weather camping gear to set up what turned out to be a great camping outdoors experience for the newbies. At first they were not real thrilled about this idea but after seeing the finished camping outdoors set-up we provided they quickly became happy campers. It help that the weather was not very cold during their stay but even had it been much colder I am sure they would have been fine. This summer we are going to be adding on an extra room to our hunting cabin for unexpected guests and as a room for extra camping gear and supplies.
