There are two things that one might not think entirely go hand in hand: gourmet cooking and camping gear. Whenever I think about camping and camping gear, I think about the outback, the sights, the sounds, the smells, the woods, the wildlife; you know everything that goes with roughing it in a tent with your bare hands for a few days and just getting away from it all for a while to chill out. That’s what camping means to me anyways – that and being able to spend some quality time with my family and friends while we pack away our worries at home, and pack in our camping gear into our SUVs and head to the wild to enjoy a few days away from the tussles, the traffic and the clutter of the concrete jungle that comprises Phoenix, Arizona.
That being said, I have been shopping around A LOT over the past few weeks because I have been getting all of my holiday shopping completed online and saving some big time bucks. Not to mention avoiding the rushes at the malls, high retail prices and you know, the whole Black Friday Nightmare – not my bag of tricks at all! At any rate, I was looking online for some camping gear to add to my collection and shore up whatever I was short on, as over the next few weeks I am planning a really nice camping trip up north to the Mogian Rim – that’s that Grand Canyon for you folks that are not familiar with geography in Arizona.
