Altimeter Watch Newest Piece of Useful Hiking Gear |

Now that fall is here, we're getting out the hiking gear for many blissful walks in the desert parks near our home. We are so lucky to live on the outskirts of Phoenix on the east side, and the Superstition mountains are just a few miles from our home. We like to go early in the morning when it's warm out, and later in the afternoon when the mornings are cold in the winter. I decided I would buy my husband this altimeter watch to add to our hiking gear so we know just how much elevation gain we make on the different trails that we take.
Having good hiking gear is important, especially when we are hiking at higher elevations. This elevation watch will help us determine the trails to take our friends from the flat lands up north on when they come to visit us in the winter, notably my husband's cousins who enjoy getting out of the frozen north for a week or two of sunshine and blue skies in Arizona. We tell them that they should invest in good boots and sunglasses before they come if they don't already have that important piece of hiking gear. Our trails can be rugged and rocky, so it's important that they have good footwear. We supply all the rest: the water bottles, sunscreen, hiking poles, and fanny packs for snacks. |
