camping outdoors


I especially enjoy camping outdoors. I like it all, from sleeping under the stars, cooking over an open camp fire, hiking, fishing, hanging out by the camp fire at night and sharing crazy stories. As far back as I can remember I have always been up for a camping trip. 

When I was a young girl I belonged to an organization that took a bunch of us camping outdoors. They put several of us girls into one tent. We spent the days hiking, learning about the flora and fauna of the area. The evenings were spent around a campfire making samores with graham crackers, chocolate bars and marshmallows cooked over the fire. 

Today, camping outdoors is a treat I like to indulge in at least once a month. I will camp in any weather, be it rain, snow or sunshine. I like it all. I have endured through a challenging trip in the snow. It can actually be warmer when there is snow on the ground believe it or not. The rain leaves me a little wanting in that if you are not positioned just right the flow of water can be quite devastating. Sunny trips, of course, are the best. I hear and must heed the call. Camping outdoors is beckoning to me!
