Big Fires Attract Big Crowds When Camping Outdoors |

One of the most enjoyable aspects of camping outdoors is sitting around a blazing campfire at night and enjoying the conversation of other campers. We spend many weekends in the summer in the mountains camping outdoors at public campgrounds and have found that people are so social after the sun sets and start their campfires. Over the course of a day when we're camping outdoors, we walk around the campground or ride our bikes, so we get to chat with others when we pass by their sites. Sometimes we invite them to wander over to our site in the evening to share our campfire.
We really enjoy building a huge fire when we're camping outdoors. People often come to our site to enjoy our fire and we welcome them. We have met so many good folks when camping outdoors that we continue to contact long after we get home. We exchange emails, an occasional phone call, and sometimes even plan camping trips together so we can see each other again. Camping outdoors is a great way to meet like-minded people, and in our book, the more the merrier.
