camping outdoors We are planning to go camping outdoors in July and hope that the rivers are full. We have several favorite spots in New Mexico where we love camping outdoors for a week at a time. A trip like that takes quite a lot of preparation and we're up to it, but when the rivers have plenty of water in them, it makes camping outdoors much easier. We don't have to bring all our water for bathing or cleaning dishes, and we can even use water purifiers to drink it should we run out of bottled water.

Not only does a full river make camping outdoors easier, it also provides an incredibly relaxing backdrop. The sound of a river flowing is like nothing else and when we lay in bed at night, there's nothing like listening to it rush by to put us to sleep. Waking up to the sound of the water is such a gentle sound, so we all get up in a good mood when the rivers are running. New Mexico is one of the best places in the southwest to go camping outdoors, especially for people who like running water and beautiful scenery.
